The C.V. Raman Fellowship programme for African Researchers aims to promote human capacity building through scientific and technological cooperation between Africa and India. The programme targets Doctoral/Post-Doctoral, Visiting and Senior Fellows.
The fellowship would provide opportunity for African researchers to conduct collaborative research in various fields of science and technology at different universities in India and Research and Development institutions under the guidance of host scientists in India.
The Fellowship is a product of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India (GoI), through the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).
Must be pursuing or have completed PhD in any recognized university or institution in Africa.
Duration: 6 months
PhD/M.Tech/M.Sc(Eng/Technical) or four to six years of research or teaching experience.
Duration: 3 months

Duration: 1 month
- Open to all African researchers in Science and Technology
- Enable to undertake research work in India
- Monthly sustenance allowance
- Additional contingency grant
- To and fro air fare by economy class.
